ABOUT CLARK
Clark Vasey is the Founder and Director of Strategic Bridge, drawing on more than 20 years of experience working at the intersection of business, government and politics, with a particular focus on the relationship between the United Kingdom and Japan.
Clark was one of the founders of the UK–Japan Tech Forum, which was convened by techUK and the Japan Electronics and brought together leading British and Japanese technology companies to strengthen bilateral cooperation and turn the ambitions of the UK–Japan relationship into practical industry engagement. He subsequently served as Chair of the Forum for two years, working closely with government, industry bodies and businesses in both countries.
Through this work, Clark has developed extensive experience of navigating the political, commercial and institutional landscape surrounding the UK–Japan relationship. He has worked with senior political and business leaders, UK and Japanese government departments, and organisations including techUK and the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA). His work has included convening senior-level roundtables in London and Tokyo, developing policy and thought leadership, and contributing industry perspectives to the evolving UK–Japan partnership.
Before establishing Strategic Bridge, Clark held senior corporate affairs and government relations roles, with extensive experience of working with Japanese corporates. His wider career spans more than two decades across business, public policy, government affairs and politics, advising senior executives and political leaders on complex strategic and reputational issues.
Clark established Strategic Bridge to help businesses and organisations move beyond recognising the potential of the UK–Japan partnership to making it work in practice, navigating institutions, building relationships and turning strategic ambition into practical outcomes.
